Fundación Conciencia was founded to bring dignity, prevention, and opportunity to MedellĆnās most marginalized communities. The foundation emerged as a response to issues such as violence, addiction, exploitation, and poverty, seeking to help children and families recognize that their environment does not define their future. From the beginning, its mission has been to raise awareness, build resilience, and empower people through education and community support.
At the heart of its work is a flagship project that provides daily lunches for 350 children in Colombiaās largest informal settlement, ensuring that no child goes hungry and that families have one less burden to carry. Alongside this vital nutrition program, the foundation offers English lessons, psychosocial support, vocational training, and cultural activities. Arts, sports, and entrepreneurship initiatives give children and youth safe spaces to learn and dream, while families benefit from workshops that strengthen bonds and open new possibilities for economic stability.
The impact is tangible in the smiles of children who eat, learn, and play in safety, and in the confidence of young people who gain tools for brighter futures. By combining immediate care with long-term empowerment, Fundación Conciencia is breaking cycles of poverty and transforming entire neighborhoods into places of hope and opportunity.
