Corporación María Rosa Mística Esperanza was created to respond to the urgent needs of vulnerable cancer patients in Medellín and across Colombia. Many of these patients, often children and families from rural areas, arrive in the city with limited resources and no support network. The corporation began with the mission of offering them not only medical assistance but also dignity, shelter, and holistic care throughout their treatment journey.
Today, the foundation provides free housing, nutritious meals, and comprehensive support services for children, adolescents, and adults battling cancer. Alongside safe lodging and food, patients receive psychosocial care, neurological and legal assistance, palliative support, and spiritual accompaniment to guide them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Volunteers, professionals, and donors work hand in hand to ensure that patients and their families feel supported, seen, and valued, regardless of their financial means.
